Puberty can be a difficult and tricky phase of growing up for your child.
Hormonal shifts at this stage may cause them to become snappy or rude or suddenly turn quiet. Mood swings could be confusing and you can see them struggling to deal with it. Physical pubertal changes like periods and breast development could be embarrassing for girls while voice cracking, erections & wet dreams could be awkward for the boys.
This program educates your child about puberty in a way that is fun and factual, normalising changes and sowing the seeds of confidence & body positivity. Knowing and understanding changes both genders go through creates gender sensitivity and teaches them to be supportive and respectful.
As a parent, you can help them navigate this period of adolescent health with ease by getting them ready for puberty before it hits! It helps deepen the parent-child partnership to make puberty a stress free, enjoyable experience for your child and a celebration for both of you.

Before attending the workshop I was worried about what periods are and how to handle them. The Puberty for Girls workshop explained exactly how periods happen, what can we do if we suddenly get them in school or a public space and about lots of other changes that we go through during puberty. They showed us videos, told us stories and played fun games with us! I feel so ready and excited for these changes now! I am very thankful to my mum for enrolling me for such an amazing workshop and to the trainers who made it so easy for me to accept and be ready for the new phase of my life.

When my mom enrolled me, I didn’t know what to expect and what it would be all about. I remember asking her, "do I have to do it?" I am so glad I did it! The session was VERY informative. We also saw many videos that helped me understand many things and I really felt good learning about so many topics. The quiz was also very good and I could answer most of the questions. I really enjoyed the quiz competition between us and our parents. I loved the prizes given! At the end of the program, I realised how important it was for me to learn about my body, emotions and feelings and I am more prepared to enter my teens!

After the session she asked me - Mom, are you pmsing today? Are you expecting your period, because you've been irritable for the past few days!!!" And we both laughed loud as I nodded in assertive 😁😂
